a hard days work = a good slumber

So the other night we were all in the kitchen chatting, me, grams, gramps, the becks, and the kids. Then Gramps decides we need to get to sleep and so lets gather for family prayer. All of the sudden panic fills the room as Grams asks "Where's Liam?" and no one responds reassuringly that they know exactly where he is. You hear those horror stories of kids just wandering off and drowning or things like that, so your mind goes to the worst, though Liam knows the rules and is a really good swimmer. Then Grams asks "Where's Winston?" and so we call him too, but he's not around and it's dark outside. Weird right? No Liam and no Winston, not a good sign. She runs to see if he's just up on his bed, but he's not there. So me, Uncle B, Gramps, and Grams all set out in different directions in and outside the house calling his name. I didn't get that far until I hear "We found him." come from the house. We all gather again in the kitchen curious to hear where he was. He was asleep, on the floor of Gram's little sewing room still in his clothes. Their suitcase is in the sewing room and I guess when everyone had gone to get pj's he didn't even that far before deciding he was exhausted and laying down. The farm and some hard work and hot sun is the best remedy for a good nights sleep. I've heard that from parents of kids who come to my little summer camp too. The best part of the whole story though is the way he's laying asleep on the carpet. We couldn't stop laughing. This was obviously a semi-planned slumber, spread out in the middle of the clothes, a sketchbook, and some toys.
